PROKAL 12-MONTH STUDY. COMPARISON OF A VERY LOW-CALORIE KETOGENIC DIET WITH A STANDARD LOW-CALORIE DIET IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY (2014).

At 12 months, the results of the study demonstrated that the PronoKal Group® weight-reduction treatment (a ketogenic diet followed according to our protocol) was safe and more effective than a standard low calorie diet in obese patients.

THE CETOPNK STUDY. BODY COMPOSITION CHANGES AFTER VERY LOW CALORIE-KETOGENIC DIET IN OBESITY EVALUATED BY THREE STANDARDIZED METHODS (2016).

This study analysed diet-induced changes in the body composition of obese patients treated with a ketogenic diet according to the PronoKal Group® protocol. The changes were measured using three standardised methods: bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), and air displacement plethysmography (ADP). The results were published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM).

PNK LIPOINFLAMMATION STUDY EFFECT OF DHA SUPPLEMENTATION IN A VERY LOW CALORIE KETOGENIC DIET IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY: A RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIAL (2016).

The PnK Lipoinflammation study was a randomized and controlled comparative clinical trial that assessed the effects on chronic inflammation associated with obesity of the PronoKal Group® ketogenic diet and the impact of DHA supplementation in obese patients on the resolution of lipoinflammation (a condition implicated in the onset of metabolic disorders such as heart diseases and diabetes). The results have been published in Endocrine.

DIAPROKAL STUDY SAFETY OF THE PRONOKAL METHOD IN OBESE DIABETIC PATIENTS: THE DIAPROKAL STUDY (2012)

The 4-month DiaproKal clinical trial compared the efficacy of a ketogenic diet with that of a low-calorie diet in patients with diabetes and obesity. It also compared weight loss results and the effectiveness of metabolic control. The study has been presented at the World Diabetes Congress (Dubai, 2011) and other forums.

THE DIANA STUDY

This study is drawing up a detailed description (demographic characteristics, comorbidities, habits, etc.) of the profile of overweight patients with diabetes undergoing treatment with a ketogenic diet in accordance with our protocols.

PROCE-D STUDY

The objective of the Proce-D study is to establish typical figures for capillary ketonemia in diabetic or prediabetic patients undergoing a weight loss programme with the PronoKal Group® ketogenic diet.

PROMET STUDY

Prospective international registry of patients undergoing a weight loss treatment with a ketogenic diet in accordance with the PronoKal Group® protocol. The authors of this study are gathering data on weight loss and the evolution of other factors related to excess weight during the treatment.
